A significant proportion of Birse Metro’s activity has been in the station refurbishment sector where electrical works comprise approximately one third of value. In addition, the installation of electrical, mechanical, fire and communications systems works normally follows the critical path through a project and therefore close management of this aspect of the works is vital to the final successful outcome.
As an NICEIC registered contractor and a member of the ECA, Birse Metro’s Electrical
Division has now carried out a number of electrical, mechanical, fire and communications
systems installations throughout the London Underground network as dedicated electrical
contractors.
The Electrical Division works to the same management and assurance procedures
as Birse Metro. The direct employment of labour, coupled with the expansion and
development of our management teams with specialist technical expertise, has contributed
to the successful delivery of projects.
BML Electrical Division’s experience encompasses switchboard renewal, power,
enabling works, lifts, lighting, cable management systems, air conditioning and
communications.
